Farah Sardar: Farah Sardar, born Farah Masooma Naz in 1966 in Carshalton, South London, is a British Asian Muslim author, actress, and presenter. The youngest of three children, she grew up in South London in a family originally from Lahore, Pakistan. She studied Biology at King's College London and subsequently trained as a counselor. Known for wearing the hijab, she has appeared on Channel 5's Dangerous Drivers' School and in an Umbro campaign promoting the England shirt during the World Cup. She has also worked as a School Home Support Worker in an inner city school, supporting families in crisis. She is the author of two children's books for young Muslim readers, 'The Animals' and 'The Food We Eat,' both published in 1997 by Kube Publishing. She also plays guitar and performed live at the Compass Theatre in February 2013.
