الشيخ محمد عوّامة (ولد ١٩٤٠) محدِّثٌ دمشقيٌّ معاصر وعالمٌ حنفي — من أَدَقّ الأَحْياء في علم الحديث. كتابُه "معالم إرشادية لصناعة طالب العلم" دليلٌ مَحْبوبٌ لطلّاب العلم الجادّين؛ وتَحقيقاتُه للكتب الحديثية الكلاسيكية (مصنّف ابن أبي شيبة، وسنن أبي داوود، وغيرها) من المراجع المعتمدة.

Muhammad Awwama: Shaykh Muhammad Awwama hafidhahullah (b. 1940 CE / 1358 AH) is a contemporary Damascene hadith master and Hanafi scholar, widely regarded as one of the most rigorous living authorities in the science of hadith. Born in Damascus, he dedicated his scholarly career to the critical edition and authentication of the classical hadith corpus. His authored work Maalim Irshadiyya li-Sinaat Talib al-Ilm is a celebrated guide combining traditional adab with practical guidance for the serious student of sacred knowledge. As an editor, he produced standard scholarly reference editions of major hadith collections, including the Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba and Sunan Abi Dawud. He also compiled Min Sihah al-Ahadith al-Qudsiyya, a rigorously authenticated selection of prophetic hadith qudsi presented with full chains of transmission, documentation, and sources across the hadith literature.
