About The Book

Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse is the only Tijani Shaykh whos Tafsir of Quran has been published in its entirety. He completed the entire Tafsir of Quran between 10 and 12 times throughout his life, in public.

Most of the times he would engage in the Tafsir, it would be in the Wolof language, but 2 or 3 times he did the entire Tafsir in the Arabic language for the benefit of his non-wolof speaking Murids (Students).

The very last time he did the entire Tafsir in public, was in the year 1963 and it was recorded on cassette tape and transcribed by his loyal student, Shaykh Muhammad Wuld' Abdallah al-Jayjuba.

The author of the lectures, Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse (1900-1975) is a hidden jewel to much of the English speaking world. The legacy and ripples his personality has left behind make it seem like his passing was a trivial event in what has transpired to be an extraordinary fate sent through to this world. He has been accepted as an Mama, wall of Allah and accomplished Shaykh of tarbiyya. He lived and exemplified the practice of the Sunna of the noble Prophet of Allah and taught others how to do so in the most efficient manner. It would be a waste to write a summary with the purposes of hooking a reader's interest into this book. This book does not need readers, its knowledge and timeless wisdoms are as old as natural law itself. Those who are sincere will be shown one thing, while those who are riddled with doubt will see another. It speaks to the heart individually, and every one of our hearts is different. My summary is mine and will be very different from what yours will be, if you choose to read this book. Nothing but good comes from that which is inherently good and the Qur'an is the door towards good. This tafsir came through a friend of Allah, for the book of Allah, to the people of Allah.
