صِبۡغَةَ ٱللَّهِ وَمَنۡ أَحۡسَنُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ صِبۡغَةٗۖ وَنَحۡنُ لَهُۥ عَٰبِدُونَ

The Istanbul Islamic arts culture gives much importance to precision reprints. Artists and patrons alike understand that not everyone can have an original work, yet their work needs to be available to a wide breadth of customers. The production of superior quality reprints is a highly developed “art” of its own, and to the untrained eye these pieces can be mistaken for an original.  Only the most respected calligraphers and tezhip artists have the opportunity to have their works professionally reprinted in this fashion, and they also are consulted in the process of reprinting the work of past masters.
