Historian Kate Brittlebank is a leading authority on Tipu Sultan. She is the author of Tipu Sultan's Search for Legitimacy, Islam and Kingship in a Hindu Domain, and several scholarly articles on the Mysore ruler. She has held teaching and research positions in a number of Australian Universities
